From October 7-13, fire safety advocates across the country will be spreading the word that when it comes to escape plans, practice is key. Whether you're a firefighter, a teacher or a parent, we've got lots of helpful information to help you help neighbors, friends and family members escape safely in the event of a home fire. So let's get started!

Sound the alarm: it's time for the Great American Fire Drill! Monday, October 8th during Fire Prevention Week 2007, The Runnemede Fire Department and the NFPA are asking kids and families in Runnemede, and the nation to practice their home fire escape plans. Just how big will the Great American Fire Drill be? With your help, we're hoping to have the world's biggest fire drill. So let's get started!
