Car Fire Handled by the Beaver Brook Duty Crew

Sunday, October 31, 2010  Around 6:00 am, the Beaver Brook Duty Crew's Squad 32 (which was staffed by members from Runnemede, Haddon Heights, and Bellmawr Fire Departments) and Engine 93 (Deptford) where dispatched to Route 42 in the area of Route 55 North for a vehicle fire.  Battalion 303 (Chief Burleigh) arrived on location and reported a fully involved Ford Mustang.  Squad 32 arrived short time later and used an 1 3/4" hand line to extinguish the fire. 

     



 

Car Fire

Saturday, October 23, 2010  Shortly before midnight, Engine 75 was dispatched to Beaver Brook Motors for a vehicle fire.  Engine 75 arrived on location to find a Dodge Intrepid well involved.  The Squad Company used an 1 3/4" hand line to extinguish the car. The car was previously invovled in a motor vehicle accident on the highway before being brought to the tow yard an hour prior. 

     



 

Squad 75 Special Called to Gloucester Township

Friday, October 22, 2010 18:33 The Chews Landing Fire Department was called to the Black Horse Pike and Hilltop Avenue in Gloucester Township for a motor vehicle accident with entrapment.  Gloucester Township Police arrived on location and reported a two car motor vehicle accident with the occupants of both vehicles entrapped.  8201 (Chief Gerace) arrived on location confirming entrapment and requested  a second Rescue unit, Squad 75 (Runnemede).  Rescue 82 (Chews Landing) arrived on location and began extricating the occupant of the first vehicle.  EMS requested a medical helicopter (Southstar) to fly the first patient.  Squad 75 performed extrication on the second vehicle.  The incident is under investigation by Gloucester Township Police.  Assisting units:  Station 82, Squad 75, Engine 83 (Blenheim), BLS 805. Car Ends Up On Wall

Wednesday, October 20, 2010   BLS 788 and Squad 75 were dispatched the intersection of Central and East 3rd Aves for a motor vehicle accident.  Companies arrived to find a two car accident with one car on top of a retaining wall.  The driver of the car refused treatment for her injuries. All units cleared the scene once the vehicle was removed by the tow company. 

     



 

Company attends LDH drill

Sunday, October 17, 2010   Engine 75 had attended the Camden County Large diameter hose (LDH) drill  in Gloucester Twp on Sunday morning.


     



 

Laundry room fire

Thursday, October 14, 2010   Shortly before Midnight , Task force 7 was dispatched to 220 Pine Ave for a reported dwelling fire. Battalion 303 (Bellmawr) and CFM 13 arrived on location reporting 40x80 2 story duplex with smoke showing. SD32 (Bellmawr) staffed by the Beaver Brook Regional Fire Alliance duty crew arrived a short time later and had stretched an 1 3/4 hand line. SD32s crew had found a small fire in the laundry room and proceeded to extinguish the fire. Engine75 (Runnemede) had supplied SD32 with 600' of 5" supply hose. The fire was held to the laundry room only. The fire is being investigated by the Camden County Fire Marshals office. No reported injuries

Fire Destroys House

Tuesday, September 21, 2010 13:30 The Department was dispatched to West 4h Avenue for a house fire.  Chief 701 (Moriarty) arrived on location confirming a 2 story, wood frame dwelling, heavy fire showing from the 1st and 2nd floor windows.  Engine 75 arrived on location and led off with a 2 1/2" Blitz Fire attack line and a 1 3/4" hand line to protect the exposures.  Squrt 32 (Bellmawr) arrived shortly after and supplied Engine 75 with 400 feet of 4" supply line.  Squrt 32's master stream was also put into service through the 2nd floor & attic windows.  Do to the extensive damage to the structure of the dwelling, crews maintained defensive operations, fighting the fire from the exterior and protecting the neighboring homes.  Hargrove Demolition was called to the scene to bring heavy equipment to take down the heavily damaged home so the fire could be fully extinguished.  No injuries were reported.  The Camden County Fire Marshal's Office.

Monday, September 6, 2010  The Runnemede Fire Department has taking delivery of their new ambulance. It's a 2010 Ford/Road Rescue. The new BLS Unit  will replace our old 1992 Ford/Horton Ambulance.

Fatal Motor Vehicle Accident

Sunday, August 29, 2010 16:30  Station 75, BLS 787 and Medic 46 dispatched for a reported accident. While enroute the assignment was upgraded to a rescue assignment. Battalion 303 arrival on location with a SUV and a NJ Transit bus head on accident. The driver of the SVU was pronounced DOA at the scene. SD75 arrived and help with patients on the bus. There were a total of 12 patients transported to areas hospitals. The accident is being investigated by the Runnemede police department.
